The Write Stuff Teaching

Helping Teachers Inspire Learners

Who Am I and What Do I Want to Learn About?

It’s interesting to watch this project get wings and take flight.  Students are working at their own pace on getting all of the preliminary work done for their Passion Projects.  Thanks for joining me this week.

During our last session of Passion Projects, we worked on our cover pages for our folders, our questionnaires and choosing our topics.

Coloring our cover pages:

Answering questions about what we are good at inside and outside of school.

Choosing our topics:

Beginning some exploration with magnets after finishing our topic choice page.

This Friday, we will have our Lunar New Year Assembly so our passion project hour will resume the following Friday, however, I have sent a survey to parents about their initial reactions to Passion Projects.  I will share the responses next Wednesday (if I get any!)

Sometimes it’s effective to use a book to teach SEL to help support students in your classroom. Whatever your purpose, book units help you get the job done. It’s nice to have something to just print and teach to help you expand the learning and deepen the comprehension through full lessons plans, lists of tier 2 vocabulary and more.
